Halva rosaes

How to prepare the recipe:

  1. In a kneading hook mixer, mix the flour, water, and yeast at low speed.

  2. Gradually add the olive oil and knead for 5 minutes.

  3. Add the salt and increase to high speed, knead for 5 more minutes until the dough breaks away from the sides of the bowl.

  4. Place a towel over the bowl and let it rise until it doubles in volume.

  5. Remove the dough from the bowl, lowering the air from the dough by folding it.

  6. Divide the dough into 4 equal balls, place the balls on a floured surface and allow the balls to rise again.
    To open the dough:

  7. On a well-floured surface, roll the dough with a rolling pin, to a paper sheet form 

  8. Apply a thin layer of Sesame Kingdom Halva spread / SF Tahini chocolate spread and roll. (we added roasted Nuts & Pistachio as well)

  9. Cut into 2 cm wide pieces - roses.

  10. Preheat oven to 250 degrees high heat.

  11. Place the small cut roses in a baking sheet.

  12. Bake for about 4-7 minutes or until a brownish color is obtained (please note, this is quick baking in high temp)

  13. Remove from oven, sprinkle with icing sugar and serve warm.
